Ms. Gomez has handled the claims administration for numerous Chapter 11 cases, including AremisSoft, NTL Inc., HQ Global Workplaces, Photocircuits, Regus Business Centers, and InterBank Funding. Most recently, she has been responsible for managing the Chapter 11 claims administration for S-Tran Holdings, Omne Staffing, the New York Racing Association, and Copperfield Investments. Ms. Gomez has also been responsible for managing GCG’s administrative role in the high profile Mutual Benefits Corporation receivership, and related Union Planters Bank escrow disbursement.
Prior to joining GCG in 2001, Ms. Gomez served as a paralegal and Director of Consumer Affairs at American Family Enterprises, where she reported directly to the General Counsel. While working for American Family Enterprises, a subsidiary of Time Inc., she obtained an insider’s perspective on the Chapter 11 and class action processes.
A fluent speaker, reader, and writer of the Spanish language, Ms. Gomez brings a valuable resource to the table in cases involving a large Spanish speaking contingency. Committed to community involvement, she is an active supporter and fundraiser for Autism Speaks and other local grass roots activities aimed at funding research and increasing awareness of autism and related disorders.
Ms. Gomez attended Rutgers University, where she studied Political Science.
