As a Senior Project Manager in GCG's Business Reorganization Division, Heather Montgomery contributes her extensive background and expertise in managing Chapter 11 cases.
Before joining GCG, Ms. Montgomery was a senior consultant at a restructuring administrative services firm, where she managed and consulted on companies restructuring in Chapter 11 and worked with company employees, financial advisors and data managers on pre-petition, noticing, schedule and SOFA preparation, claims reconciliation, Website management, solicitation of ballots and tabulation, distribution and post-confirmation tasks. In addition, she has managed virtual data rooms throughout the Chapter 11 process. She has worked on the Dana Corporation, W.R. Grace, Musicland, ATA Airlines, and Sea Containers cases.
Ms. Montgomery received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University. She also attended IIT/Chicago Kent College of Law, where she studied financial services law.
Ms. Montgomery is admitted to practice in Illinois and Pennsylvania, and she is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA),the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI).
