Ms. Gottlieb joined GCG in April 2007 and was promoted to Director in GCG's Bankruptcy Reorganization Group in June 2009. Her wide-ranging responsibilities include providing ongoing client counsel, supervising client projects, and assisting with new business efforts.
Before joining GCG, Ms. Gottlieb was a senior associate with the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice Group at the international law firm if DLA Piper US LLP, resident in its Chicago office, where she represented debtors, creditors committees, creditors and trustees in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases. Before working at DLA, Ms. Gottlieb worked as an associate in the Corporate Restructuring Practice Group of Drinker Biddle Gardner Carton (formerly Gardner, Carton & Douglas LLP) where she represented creditors including indenture trustees in many large bankruptcy cases.
Ms. Gottlieb is a Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan. She received her J.D. magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was an Executive Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. Ms. Gottlieb is the Chair of the Chicago Network of IWIRC (International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation). She is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Chicago Bar Association and the Turnaround Management Association.
