Introducing the “Forceful” Defense

We asked the question back in 2004 and the WSJ Law Blog posed it again in November:  Must all legal defenses be "vigorous?"  Is there really no other word in the English language that can be used to describe how a defendant will defend a case?

Well, after 623,505 consecutive "vigorous defenses," we have a new entrant.  In this article, a law firm states that it is "forcefully defending" a lawsuit filed against it by a former hedge fund client.

Now that the ice has been broken, what do you think?  Is a "forceful defense" more impressive than a "vigorous defense?"
