Ms. Pamenter brings to GCG extensive experience in all facets of the chapter 11 process. Prior to joining GCG, as an attorney with Goldberg Kohn, Bell, Black, Rosenbloom & Moritz, Ltd., Ms. Pamenter represented chapter 11 debtors in cases involving significant environmental liabilities (plan confirmed within 11 months of filing), wireless telecommunications licenses (plan confirmed within 5 months of filing), and a home products manufacturing company (plan confirmed within 75 days of filing). She has also represented the liquidating trustee of two multi-million dollar liquidating trusts, handled assignments for the benefit of creditors and represented unsecured creditor and equity holder committees. The debtor and liquidating trustee representations included the negotiation and drafting of disclosure statements, plans of reorganization and liquidating trust documents; drafting and presentation in court of motions, objections and other pleadings; handling of omnibus and confirmation hearings; preparation
and negotiation of settlement agreements with insurers and claimants; review, negotiation and resolution of proofs of claim; and the coordination of internal and outside counsel as well as financial advisors. Notably, Ms. Pamenter authored a Petition for Writ of Certiorari filed with the United States Supreme Court on a bankruptcy court jurisdiction issue, which was granted on December 12, 2008, and served as Counsel of Record with respect to all of the briefs filed with the Supreme Court.
She is involved in several professional organizations, including the American Bankruptcy Institute as Co-Chair of the Inaugural Professional Development Program, a member of the Central States Advisory Board, and Co-Chair of the Young & New Members Committee; the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association as Co-Chair of the Newsletter Committee; and the IWIRC-Chicago Network, as the immediate past Chair and currently a member of its Board of Directors.
Ms. Pamenter received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1995, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1992. From 1997-98, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert K. Rodibaugh, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
